Jonas Kupferschmid joined the Engaging Mobility project of the Future Cities Laboratory in January 2016. As a researcher of the project, he is responsible for incorporating cyclists and 3D city models in the traffic microsimulation software PTV Vissim to create realistic, virtual, scenarios for transport planning and evaluation.
Prior to joining the Future Cities Laboratory, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Transport Planning and Systems at ETH Zurich, where he supervised students and was involved as project manager for external projects. He holds a Master’s degree in Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems from ETH Zurich and studied geography at both the University of Bern and Valencia.
